Supporting Children and Elders:

We run Camp Uke, a half-day, week long summer program for youth in grades 3-5 who play games, sing songs, and learn to play the ukulele! Snacks and lunch are provided. Uke lessons continue during the school year every other Wednesday.

We partner with Salemwood School, a few blocks from the congregation. So far we’ve participated in their coat drive, donated grocery store gift cards, backpacks with school supplies, and prizes for their Locks of Love event. This fall we even did yardwork to clean up for the students for “God’s Work, Our Hands” Sunday!

Twice a month we bring worship to the seniors at Forestdale Park Senior Living, where we sing hymns, share communion, and talk about scripture together.

Seasonally our Sunday school assembles fruit baskets for elderly and sick members of the community. We also gather Christmas presents for donation.

We are growing a Sunshine Ministry in which members of the congregation are trained to visit people who are sick, homebound, or in crisis to bring communion, pray, listen, or simply be present.

Feeding the Hungry:

On the fourth Friday of every month, we cook and serve a meal through Bread of Life.

In the sanctuary we provide a family sized food pantry and assist larger community food programs, as well.

Welcoming All:

We partner with Refugee Immigration Ministry, Ascentria Care Alliance, ELCA immigration programs to be sure that all people in need can find a home in this country.

We also share our space with twelve step groups and Girl Scout troops, as well as with Goshen Church of God.
