Leadership

Rev. Emily Hamilton, Pastor

Pastor Emily grew up in Rochester, NY, studied religion at Vassar College and received her M.Div. with a focus on preaching and worship at Union Theological Seminary. She is passionate about social justice, having worked for the full participation of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in the Lutheran Church, and in prevention education about intimate partner violence.  Pastor Emily was ordained in August of 2017. She loves making music: singing, playing piano, guitar and now the ukulele. She is a runner, a vegetarian, a lover of novels and poetry, and has a weakness for overly dramatic television.

Want to speak with Pastor Emily? You can reach her at firstlutheranpastor@gmail.com, or find her as the “Pop-Up Pastor” at coffee shops near Malden on Thursdays from 12-2pm (locations announced on Facebook, Instagram, and via email).
