Our culture has created a model for womanhood in part based on our interpretations of women in the Bible – and those women are often painted in black and white, either paradigms of virtue or pure villains. We’ll reflect together on the stories of 8 women, revisiting familiar stories and discovering details we overlooked. In the fall we started with Women of the Hebrew Bible:
Sept. 23: Eve
Sept. 30: Hagar
Oct. 7: Miriam
Oct. 14: Proverbs 31
As winter begins, we’ll continue with women of the New Testament.
November 25: Mary, mother of Jesus
December 2: Women of Acts (Lydia, Dorcas, Prisca)
December 9: Mary of Magdala
December 16: Women of the Epistles
