Christmas Worship:
Family-Friendly Christmas Eve
December 24, 4:00pm, Malden
Our most interactive service of the season, the “early” service at 4:00pm will include tangible ways to participate in worship in person at First Lutheran Church in Malden and at home: moving the pieces of a nativity set, writing or drawing, lighting candles, and of course, singing or listening to carols. We’ll tell the story of creation, of God’s promised peaceful kingdom, and how this comes to be in the birth of Jesus. This is a great service for folks who prefer to spend the later part of the evening visiting with loved ones online or going to bed early – and particularly wonderful for children.
Candlelight Christmas Eve
December 24, 7:30pm, Woburn
At 7:30pm Christmas Eve, we will worship together with our siblings in Christ at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Woburn, by lighting candles and singing Silent Night, and hearing the age-old story of God’s love made manifest in a baby in Bethlehem. A wonderful service for everyone, singing favorite Christmas hymns, and connecting to the traditions of those who have gone before us.
Christmas Morning Worship
December 25, 9:30am
Spend a moment on Christmas morning centering yourself with the light shining through the shadows. Join us in person at First Lutheran Church in Malden at 9:30am or online as we celebrate the true meaning of Christmas: Jesus’ birth in the world and within us. Worship will be followed by hot beverages, treats, and time spent together as a community.
